There is growing division between Members of Congress concerning the merits of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) that replaces NAFTA.
Liberty Counsel Action is calling on President Trump and Members of Congress to remove the precedent-setting pro-LGBT language from the USMCA BEFORE the other merits of the agreement are considered.
As thirty-eight lawmakers warned President Trump, existing provisions within the USMCA will establish special rights for "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" as the supreme law of the land via the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. And, including "sex discrimination" in the USMCA could "cause unnecessary confusion in future international treaties as well as domestic laws and policies," in addition to setting a "dangerous precedent for courts and future Administrations to build upon."
Tomorrow, President Trump is scheduled to meet with the Mexican President and Canadian Prime Minister. They are expected to sign the USMCA. Then, the agreement is sent to Congress for approval.
Time is of the essence to alert Members of Congress that we oppose any attempts to force the U.S. to adopt a new social policy through a trade agreement!

Congress has repeatedly rejected the concept that our Civil Rights law should include "gender identity" and the other pro-LGBT protections. We cannot allow Canada's extreme LGBT agenda to dictate US social policy!
Over the next 24 hours, I am asking every friend of Liberty Counsel Action to send a round (or two) of faxes to members of Congress who may well be the difference makers. Everything you need is one click away!
Thank you for taking immediate action.
Yours for liberty,
